Jacoby's - East Austin Brunch Haven

Don't read this article. Just get into your car and drive to Jacoby's. I've been there more times than I care to admit, and it is a fantastic experience each and every time.

With locally-soured ingredients, an ingredient-driven menu that covers anything from cheddar grits to strawberry pancakes, it is a brunch lover's dream.

As a coffee afficionado, I appreciate the chilled, house-whipped cream butter they place in their coffee. Served in tin cups, it is a fantastic (and equally as high caloric) addition to their Southern summer cuisine.

My personal favorites: avocado salad, potato fritters, strawberry pancakes with citrus whipped cream, deviled eggs, and their coffee.

A word of advice though, their parking situation is just BAD. They are valet only, so always make sure to have a few dollars in cash to tip the valet.

P.S. the decor was done by Kris Swift from HGTV's Design Star Competition. Get ready to drink out of mason jars and mismatched antique plates.
